Alya is currently Manager Client Services at Cardea Benefits Limited, an industry pioneer and market leader in designing cost-effective, self-funded health benefit plans. Alya has been with Cardea since 2010 and currently oversees both the analytical and operational aspects of the business.
She is currently the BCP Coordinator for Agostini Insurance Brokers Limited and Subsidiaries and became qualified as an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) in 2014. She is also the holder of a Bachelor of Mathematics, Honours Actuarial Science/Finance Option from the University of Waterloo, Canada; a Diploma in Insurance from The Chartered Insurance Institute, London; an Associate in Risk Management from the American Insurance Institute and an International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from Institute of Risk Management, London.
Alya formerly served as BCMIE Caribbean’s Secretariat from 2016 to 2019.
