Isaiah Stewart has over 9 years’ experience in the field of Occupational Health & Safety and Crisis Management within the telecommunications, security and oil and gas industry. Currently, he is employed at Cable and Wireless Communication (FLOW) in the capacity of Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator, for the past six years, where his portfolio also includes oversight of HSE operations in FLOW Bahamas and supporting other regional markets. Most recently, in February 2020, he spent two weeks in Puerto Rico conducting risk management audits and training with staff, after the island was impacted by several earthquakes. He also sits on the Local Disaster Management Team, in the capacity of Log keeper. Prior to FLOW, he has held positions in Health & Safety at Petrotrin and Innovative Security Technologies Ltd, where he gained a lot of valuable knowledge and experience, within the area of security systems and practices.
As the former President of the St Benedict’s RC Young Adult Group, he is no stranger to actively volunteering and being involved in professional groups, as he currently serves as the Public Relations Officer for the University of the West Indies St Augustine Campus, Evening and Part Time Society Student’s Guild Council (2020-2021), a Road Safety Trainer with Arrive Alive Ltd and a part-time lecturer with the Caribbean Institute for Security & Public Safety in the area of Disaster Management.
He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Strategic Leadership and Management with the University of the West Indies, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Health & Safety from the University of Greenwich (UK), graduating with upper 2nd class honors and possesses several certifications in Disaster Risk Management.
